Jeff Green made his home debut with the Celtics on Wednesday night against the Suns and downplayed his move to one of the NBA's biggest markets.

"It feels good," Green said of playing in front of home fans in Boston. "I'm ready to be part of this franchise, but it's just basketball. But I mean putting on this jersey, it's a great feeling. I'm excited."

The Celtics acquired Green, along with Nenad Krstic, in exchange for Kendrick Perkins in a deal with the Thunder last week.

"I know the crowd is going to be amazing," Green added. "I've played here early in my career and it was great. So I'm looking forward to being part of it on the good side this time."

Green gave conflicting answers when asked if he had adapted to Boston's locker room and playbook.

"I'm already ready. I'm already comfortable. I already know the plays," he said, while also admitting that his head is still "spinning a little bit, but it's calming down."

Green has averaged 6.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in just two games with Boston.
