The Fort Wayne Mad Ants are a half-game out of the D-League playoffs and are looking to Chris Kramer for leadership.

“At the beginning, I was just trying to fit in, trying to learn as much as possible,” Kramer said. “Now I feel like I understand some of the defensive concepts and what to do on offense, ways people can get open. …It’s definitely difficult going from a team where you were definitely the vocal leader, the captain of the team, to where you’ve gone from the top of the totem pole to the bottom.”

Kramer’s offense has been particularly strong over the last 10 games. He has hit 53 of 91 (.582) from the field and is averaging 17.1 points per game.

“I feel like I’m as close as I’ve ever been to making my dream a reality, of getting to the NBA,” Kramer said. “You never know when that opportunity is going to come, but when it does, you have to be prepared.”
