Jimmer Fredette scored 52 points to lead BYU to an 87-76 defeat of New Mexico in the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference.

Fredette, who had just one free throw in the game, was 22-for-37 from the floor and 7-for-14 on his three-point attempts.

Fredette's previous career high was 49 points, set in December of 2009 against Arizona. He scored 47 points on January 11th against Utah.

New Mexico had defeated BYU in each of their regular season meetings.
