Jamine Peterson of the New Mexico Thunderbirds was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of March 21.

Peterson, a 6-6, 225-pound rookie forward out of Providence, led the Thunderbirds to a 3-1 record on the week, averaging 24.9 points and 8.8 rebounds.

Peterson put together a pair of outstanding performances in back-to-back road games this weekend. He had 40 points and 13 rebounds in a 121-101 win at Springfield on Saturday, and followed that with 36 points and 12 rebounds in a 129-97 loss at Fort Wayne on Sunday. Peterson also began the week with 19 points and eight rebounds in a 104-100 win over Bakersfield on Tuesday.
