Assistant general manager Allan Houston hopes the Knicks can bolster their frontline.

"I don't think you can look at one team and say that's what the standard model should be because it usually doesn't work that way," Houston said Saturday at the draft combine at the Nets' practice facility. "You have to take what you have and you have a plan, but things change quickly.

"Fortunately, if you put yourself in a good position like Donnie Walsh has in the last few years, you have an opportunity to (get another star). But if it doesn't happen, you have to leave yourself with the best possible scenario left.

"The biggest thing we need is rebounding and a down-low presence," Houston said. "It's unclear if you're going to find that in the draft or not.”
