In an interview with the Philadelphia Daily News, Sixers general manager Rod Thorn sidestepped a question about Andre Iguodala’s future with the team. Asked to address Iguodala’s refusal to commit to the Sixers long-term and the possibility of a trade, Thorn said:

“I don't know how to answer that. Unless you're a championship team or one small move away from a championship, your always looking to improve,” Thorn said.

“There are some players that are less likely to move than others. If you can make a deal that makes sense, either in short or long-term, you always look at it. It's obviously about acquiring talent, and obviously Andre is a very talented player who can help a team in more ways than most players can. I'm just trying to look at ways we can help our team.”

Iguodala has three years and $56 million remaining on his contract.
