Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics will consider hiring a younger coach with a lower profile to replace Doc Rivers.

Jay Larranaga, currently an assistant with the Celtics, will be a candidate.

Larranaga was previously head coach of the Erie Bayhawks of the D-League.

Doc Rivers has interest in hiring Larranaga as an assistant with the Los Angeles Clippers.
