Yakhouba Diawara’s contract with BCM Gravelines of Eurocup will be a one-year deal without an NBA out clause, a source told RealGM.

RealGM first reported on Monday that Diawara was expecting to sign with a club in the Eurocup this week. Diawara’s reasoning to join BCM Gravelines without an NBA opt out is to focus on competing for the league’s championship.

After his third season in Italy, Diawara had returned to his offseason home in Miami this summer and received workouts with NBA teams. Diawara, 31, played four seasons in the NBA, spending two seasons with both the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat.

Diawara came into the NBA in 2006, following a collegiate career at Pepperdine.
