Jason Terry will not report to the Sacramento Kings this season and will rehabilitate a knee injury in Dallas to prepare for next season.

Michael Malone stated Terry's status with the Kings on a local radio appearance.

Terry had knee surgery in the offseason and Malone said the veteran guard has not felt fully healthy this season. Terry was acquired in a three-player trade with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Kings have indicated they do not plan to buy out Terry's contract and the team plans to give more guard playing time to Ray McCallum and Ben McLemore.
