Raymond Felton will be out for at least 10 days with a high right ankle sprain.

"It’s a pretty bad one, so we’ve got to deal with it the right way,’’ Rick Carlisle said after Sunday morning’s shootaround at American Airlines Center. "Ten days from now we’ll give you an update as to where he’s at.’’

The Dallas Mavericks acquired Felton in June from the New York Knicks.

Felton was expected to compete with Jameer Nelson as the Mavs’ starting point guard.
