The Houston Rockets have broadened their head coaching search beyond Mike D'Antoni, who appeared close to getting the job earlier in the week.

The Rockets have scheduled an interview for Monday with James Borrego.

Borrego is a finalist for the Memphis Grizzlies' job and is currently an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs.

Borrego will become the 11th known candidate to interview for the Rockets' opening, joining D'Antoni, Silas, Jeff Hornacek (who took the New York Knicks job), former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt, Toronto Raptors assistant Rex Kalamian‎, Grizzlies assistant Jeff Bzdelik, Spurs assistant Ettore Messina, TNT analyst Kenny Smith, Los Angeles Clippers assistant Sam Cassell and current Rockets assistant Chris Finch.
