Jimmy Butler was ready to push the Chicago Bulls to trade him to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he has been warned by several of their players who had been recruiting him to stay away.

The Cavaliers did not retain David Griffin as general manager and the franchise suddenly is in a volatile situation.

Kyrie Irving has been contacting some of his former Team USA teammates letting them know he might be willing to push for a trade from the Cavaliers. Irving has let it be known that he would have interest in being traded to the Bulls.

The Bulls don't have enough assets to acquire Irving without involving a third team.

“Jimmy wants to win, period,’’ a source said. “Whatever it takes to get that done.’’
