Alan Williams has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Monday, March 4, through Sunday, March 10.

Williams is on a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

This marks the second NBA G League Player of the Week honor in Long Island Nets history, the first for Long Island this season and the first of Williams’ career.

Williams led Long Island to a 4-0 week, averaging 22.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 28.6 minutes per game while shooting 47.0 percent (31-of-66) from the field and 89.3 percent (25-of-28) from the free throw line. The Phoenix native scored 20 or more points and led Long Island in scoring in three of the team’s four games. He also posted three double-doubles during the four-game stretch.

Williams began the week with a team-high 20 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block versus Canton on March 4 and followed it with a game-high-tying 28 points, 12 rebounds, a career-high-tying five assists and a career-high-tying three blocks versus Fort Wayne on March 6.
