Danny Ainge discussed the Boston Celtics' disappointing season that ended in the Eastern Conference semifinals, saying that certain players never fully bought into the team.

"There's a lot of guys that didn't handle things the right way and didn't make the sacrifices that needed to be done for the benefit of the team. We didn't have 100% buy-in from 100% of the team. I did not anticipate that," said Ainge.

Ainge also said that he felt Kyrie Irving received too much blame for their season, and that there were multiple reasons why the team never came together.

Ainge added that he's still in conversation with Irving as the free agency period looms.

"I don't know. There's not much I can say about that, honestly, but there's ongoing conversations."
