Joe Lacob said that he had no hesitation in signing Klay Thompson to a five-year, $190 million max contract even after the shooting guard tore his ACL.

"There was no doubt in my mind, whatsoever. I, and we, want Klay to be here for a long time. He's one of my favorite players in the world," Lacob told Monte Poole in the latest episode of The Warriors Insider Podcast.

Thompson is expected to be out until around February or March with the injury, and Lacob added that "plenty of people have come back from ACLs and done pretty well."

Lacob also called Thompson the best shooting guard on the planet.

"Personally, I think he's the greatest two-guard -- I'm old school. I know it's positionless basketball, but I go by positions. To me, he's the greatest two-guard on the planet. He's both ends. He's a two-way player."
