The Golden State Warriors are seeking an unprotected 2021 first round pick as part of a D'Angelo Russell trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Warriors have been offering Minnesota's 2020 first round pick and Brooklyn's 2020 first round pick via the Atlanta Hawks.

Sources also tell Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer that Andrew Wiggins has been involved in every iteration of the deal being discussed by the Warriors and Wolves. Wiggins is due $94.7 million through the 22-23 season.

The rest of the deal could happen without the Warriors' involvement, which would be Robert Covington to the Houston Rockets, Clint Capela to the Hawks and draft assets from Atlanta to Minnesota.
