An estimated 40,000 people voted at State Farm Arena, according to the Atlanta Hawks.
The idea of voting at NBA arenas was partially spurred on by LeBron James' More Than a Vote campaign, with Lloyd Pierce also a vocal supporter.
The Hawks announced that the arena would be a polling location in June. It is the largest polling precinct in Georgia.
The arena consisted of 25 check-in sites with hundreds of available voting machines.
The arena was also used to count absentee ballots.
