Julius Randle had 44 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in the New York Knicks' 117-109 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.
"He's making winning plays. The way we started the game, his aggressiveness set the tone. I've said it many times: He's our engine. He makes us go," said Tom Thibodeau of Randle after the game.
The Knicks are also currently on a five-game win streak, their longest winning streak in seven years. The team currently sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
Randle is averaging 30.2 points and 9.2 rebounds during the win streak.
Thibodeau added that the team needs to keep focusing on the little things that add up to wins.
"Am I happy? You know I'm never happy. We try not to get wrapped up in all of that stuff. I think you don't want to get lost, and that's the most important thing to understand what goes into winning. I think if we're taking care of all the little things, the big things take care of themselves."
