Ben Simmons and his agent Rich Paul "are in step with" a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers this offseason, sources tell ESPN.

The 76ers canvass the league in hopes of a trade involving Simmons.

While draft night gives teams more optionality in consummating a major trade, talks could continue well into the offseason.

Simmons is a three-time All-Star, one-time All-NBA Third Team selection and a two-time All-Defensive First Team selection. 

"They're asking for a lot, almost a Harden-esque type package of All-Star player, draft picks, pick swaps," said Adrian Wojnarowski on The Jump.
