The Portland Trail Blazers have fired Neil Olshey as general manager and president of basketball operations.

Olshey was hired by the Blazers in 2012 and the team became a consistent playoff team, reaching the Western Conference Finals in 2019.

Olshey was under investigation for workplace misconduct and Portland found that he violated the team's "Code of Conduct."

Joe Cronin has been promoted to general manager on an interim basis.
