When the Cleveland Cavaliers traded for Ricky Rubio in the offseason, the expectation around the league was that there would be a buyout negotiated.

The Golden State Warriors "were keenly interested" in signing Rubio.

Rubio ended up staying with the Cavaliers and has helped their resurgence. Rubio is posting career bests in points (13.6 per game) and shots (12.5), to go with 6.1 assists and a 3-point shooting percentage of .355.

“I’m good, happy here,” Rubio told The Athletic.
