The Cleveland Cavaliers have stepped up their efforts to acquire Caris LeVert from the Indiana Pacers ahead of next week's trade deadline. The Pacers play the Cavaliers on Sunday, and with teams together in the same city, that could lead to increased chances of a deal.

The Cavs have been looking for additional guard depth and offense-creators since losing Ricky Rubio and Collin Sexton to long-term injuries. Cleveland has been shopping Rubio's expiring $17.8 million contract, which is enough to bring in LeVert.

In his first full season with Indiana, LeVert has averaged 18.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. The Pacers are reportedly looking for a first-round pick and a young player in exchange for LeVert.
