The Miami Heat have assigned Victor Oladipo to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League. This is part of Oladipo's continued ramp up to a return to action. He's not expected to play in any games while with Sioux Falls.

Oladipo last played in a game on April 8 of last season. The Heat shut him down shortly after that. In all, Oladipo only appeared in 33 games between the Heat, Indiana Pacers and Houston Rockets after two separate trades last year.

Miami re-signed Oladipo to a one-year, veteran minimum contract this past offseason. The plan was for Oladipo to rehab and work his way back to playing condition. The Heat will have full Bird rights for Oladipo this summer, and could ink him to a more lucrative deal, should the veteran guard prove to be healthy.
