The New Orleans Pelicans are signing Tyrone Wallace to a 10-day contract. The Pelicans are signing Wallace via a hardship exception.

New Orleans is down several players due to injuries. In addition, guard C.J. McCollum entered the health and safety protocols on Thursday.

Wallace has played for the Long Island Nets of the G League this season. In 16 games (11 starts), Wallace has averaged 21.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

In an interesting twist, the Pelicans finally got Wallace four years after signing him to an offer sheet in 2018. At that time, the LA Clippers matched the deal and kept Wallace.
