The Phoenix Suns have agreed to hire David Fizdale as an assistant coach.

Fizdale most recently worked in the front office of the Utah Jazz as an associate general manager.

Fizdale was a longtime assistant coach with the Miami Heat before becoming a head coach with the Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks.

Fizdale was an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers under Frank Vogel for one season. Fizdale also has close ties with James Jones from their time together with the Miami Heat.
