The Atlanta Hawks will interview Jarron Collins for their head coaching vacancy.

Collins has been an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors since 2014.

Travis Schlenk is familiar with Collins from his time with the Warriors.

The Atlanta Hawks are interviewing David Fizdale for their head coaching vacancy on Saturday.

The Hawks are searching for a replacement for Mike Budenholzer.

Fizdale is also a candidate with the Knicks and Suns.

The Atlanta Hawks have parted ways with Mike Budenholzer and a list of candidates has already emerged.

The Hawks are believed to be targeting a number of assistants, including Charlotte's Stephen Silas, Portland's Nate Tibbetts and David Vanterpool, San Antonio's Ime Udoka and James Borrego.

Budenholzer had been in the job with the Hawks since 2013 after replacing Larry Drew.

Sam Amick of the USA Today reports David Fizdale is also expected to be a candidate for the job.

The Hawks have told teams that they will require compensation to allow Budenholzer out of his contract.

The Atlanta Hawks granted permission for the Suns to meet with Budenholzer.

The Hawks and Budenholzer are both open to ending their partnership. The Hawks may require compensation from the Suns.

Budenholzer has two years and more than $13 million left on his contract with the Hawks.

The Suns are still considering several other candidates but have been focused on Budenholzer.

The Phoenix Suns have been granted permission from the Atlanta Hawks to interview Mike Budenholzer for their head coaching vacancy.

Budenholzer is planning to meet with Suns officials early next week.

Budenholzer has two years and more than $14 million remaining on his deal. Budenholzer is a native of Arizona.

The Suns still are considering interim coach Jay Triano, who replaced Earl Watson three games into the regular season.

The Atlanta Hawks lead the NBA in dead cap space with $32 million (32 percent of total salary), which means salaries for players not on the roster.

Jamal Crawford represents $10.9 million of that amount following his release in July. Marco Belinelli, Ersan Ilyasova and Richard Jefferson are also included on the dead money.

The Chicago Bulls rank second at $26.3 million, followed by the Phoenix Suns at $18.6 million, Sacramento Kings at $18 million and Milwaukee Bucks at $16.1 million.

The Atlanta Hawks will sign Damion Lee to a contract for the remainder of the season.

Lee is coming off two consecutive 10-day contracts.

Lee has averaged 9.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26.0 minutes over 10 games with the Hawks.

Lee was previously with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League.
