Bobcats' Top Scorer Richardson Nearing Return

Nov 25, 2008 4:49 PM

Jason Richardson was back at practice for the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday and, according to a report by the Associated Press, could play in Toronto on Wednesday night.

Doctors performed exploratory surgery on Richardson's right knee and found no structural damage after the high flyer woke up with pain and swelling on November 12.

"It felt good," Richardson said. "It's still a little weak, but it was good to finally get out there 100 percent moving around, shooting and running up and down the court. We didn't do a lot of contact, but it felt good."

Kaman To Bobcats For J-Rich?

Nov 25, 2008 5:07 AM

The L.A. Clippers would like to get the Zach Randolph deal signed and sealed so they can start tinkering with their lineup.

The deal, which saw Randolph and Mardy Collins arrive from New York in exchange for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley, has been delayed due to the Knicks having concerns about Mobley's heart.

Should the trade go through, according to J.A. Adande from ESPN.com, one source said the Clippers are talking to the Charlotte Bobcats about a package that would send Kaman to Charlotte for Jason Richardson. However, another Clippers' source said, "Kaman's not out there."

Agent: McDyess Picks Pistons

Nov 23, 2008 11:21 PM

Antonio McDyess has reportedly decided to return to the Pistons.

McDyess, who drew the interest of eighteen NBA teams, including Boston, Charlotte, Cleveland and San Antonio, will re-sign with Detroit on Dec. 3.

McDyess must wait for the league-mandated 30-day waiting period to expire. The Pistons traded McDyess to the Nuggets, who bought out his contract, roughly three weeks ago.

"It was a very difficult decision for him. He was weighing good offers financially, along with other variables he thought were important," agent Andy Miller told ESPN.com. "But going into the year he had a team goal set, and to not finish up with it, he didn't want to do that. He wants to finish the year, finish what he started in Detroit, then reevaluate after the season is over."

Bobcats Lack Parts To Get Kaman?

Nov 22, 2008 10:01 AM

There are reportedly no active trade discussions going on between the Clippers and Bobcats involving center Chris Kaman.

That leads many to believe, as Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer writes, that Los Angeles trails other teams in the hunt for Kaman.

The Clippers claim otherwise, but the belief around the league is that with Zach Randolph, Marcus Camby, and Kaman now under contract, Kaman is the odd man out.

The Nets continue to be in trade talks with Charlotte Bobcats, who are desperate for frontcourt help, but they don't have the expendable post player Larry Brown wants.

The Bobcats are willing to part with Gerald Wallace for a player of consequence, but are more actively pushing Matt Carroll or Adam Morrison.

Bobcats Waive Brown And Johnson

The Charlotte Bobcats have waived little-used forwards Andre Brown and Linton Johnson, opening two roster spots for perhaps future moves to shore up their thin front line.

Coach Larry Brown has continually lamented his frontcourt depth, and the Bobcats have been consistently outrebounded in their 3-7 start.
