Gerald Wallace Eyes Wednesday Return

Mar 10, 2008 4:55 PM

Gerald Wallace is hoping to return to the court for the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

He has been sidelined for two weeks since being knocked unconscious by an elbow and returned to practice for the first time on Monday.

"I talked with the coaching staff, and I think my career at [power forward] is done," Wallace said. "It takes a toll on your body, mentally and physically. This last injury, banging with the guys that are heavier than me. I think I'd just rather stick to guys my size."

Bobcats' Wallace Continues To Improve

Mar 9, 2008 11:00 AM

Gerald Wallace is expected to participate in full-contact practices with the Bobcats this week, according to the Associated Press.

He has been sidelined since Feb. 22 when he was knocked unconscious during a game. The team hopes he might be able to play against the Mavericks on Wednesday.

"He's been working out, and he's been on the floor. Did some up-and-down running, got a little winded," Charlotte Coach Sam Vincent said. "But he's feeling pretty comfortable that by the Dallas game he should at least be good enough to be able to get on the floor a little bit."

J-Rich Drops 42 On Former Team

Mar 6, 2008 6:29 AM

Jason Richardson was disappointed at being traded away from the Golden State Warriors, but he did get some revenge on Wednesday night when he dropped 42 on his former teammates as the Bobcats got the win, 118-109, the Associated Press is reporting.

"I think the first time we faced them, being back in Oakland and seeing all the fans, the No. 23 jerseys, I think I was just overhyped," Richardson said of his 2-for-9 shooting performance in the Bobcats' 31-point loss.

"This time I was more relaxed and in a much more settled environment. I just wanted to go out there and try to get the win."

Brezec Still Upset With Charlotte's Vincent

Mar 2, 2008 10:52 PM

Playing in Charlotte for the first time since he was traded earlier this offseason, Raptors center Primoz Brezec is still upset with Bobcats coach Sam Vincent, according to the Associated Press.

"I've been in this league for seven years. People know what I can do," Brezec told the AP. "Sam Vincent didn't know what he got."

"I have no problem with Sam Vincent. I was just frustrated that he said that he didn't get 12 or 13 points from me that he needed," Brezec added. "Of course he didn't get it because I didn't get the ball. Come on."

"If you look at the teams back in the day, I got buckets, I got stops, I got rebounds. Don't talk about me if you don't know my game."
