Bobcats Seek NFL Help Regarding Concussions

Feb 26, 2008 5:30 PM

The Charlotte Bobcats are in unchartered territory regarding the four concussions Gerald Wallace has suffered so they are seeking help from the NFL's Carolina Panthers, according to the Associated Press.

"I'm not saying we're behind the ball because this is very new to basketball," Bobcats' trainer Joe Sharpe told the AP. "How many players in basketball are disqualified from concussions? Most of the literature out there right now is on football players."

Some Bobcats are worried about more than just Gerald's ability to play the game of basketball.

"I hope it works out for him, but that's a life or death thing," guard Raymond Felton said. "You start thinking about your life or your career. I hope it doesn't come down to that because we need Gerald."

Brezec Lays Into Charlotte's Vincent

Feb 24, 2008 6:52 PM

Primoz Brezec, who spent time with the Bobcats and Pistons before landing in Toronto last Thursday, didn't have too many kind words for Charlotte head coach Sam Vincent, according to the Charlotte Observer.

"Sam Vincent, he changed it up," Brezec told Toronto's Globe and Mail newspaper. "He wanted to go more run-and-gun. I have no problem with that, I can run three days in a row. But I think I set a record in the NBA; out of 50 games (actually 18) I started, I didn?t get the ball, I didn?t get a shot off."

"So I was like, ?You know what, Sam? You don?t need me, you don?t like me and I don?t like you, so get me out of here.? And see how they?re doing this year?," Brezec added.
