The Cavaliers took the floor last night without their two starters in the post. It looks as if that could be the case for a while.

Cavs coach John Lucas said center Zydrunas Ilgauskas won't play at all in the preseason. Meanwhile, power forward Tyrone Hill said he likely will start the season on the injured list.

Lucas said before the start of training camp that he anticipated Ilgauskas, recovering from a broken left foot, would play late in the preseason. However, he said team officials have decided not to use him as a precautionary measure.
