For the past 12 years, Wayne Embry has seen the image over and over of Craig Ehlo sprawled on the ground and Michael Jordan pumping his fist. It seems as if no highlight reel of the NBA's greatest moments is complete without Jordan's shot that beat the Cavaliers in the 1989 playoffs.

``It's like a nightmare every time I see it,'' said Embry, a Cavs consultant who was the team's general manager from 1986-99.

The nightmare is back. Jordan, who terrorized the Cavs regularly in the 1980s and '90s when he was with Chicago, will make his first appearance tomorrow at Gund Arena since April 9, 1998.

But the situation this time is much different. After retiring for three seasons, Jordan has returned with hapless Washington. The Wizards will limp into Gund Arena with a 3-9 record, having lost eight of their past nine games.

``I imagine they're looking for a little revenge,'' Jordan said of the Cavs.

Guard Wesley Person is the only Cav who will suit up tomorrow who also played the last time Jordan was in town. No Cavs remain from any of the four playoff series in the late '80s and the early '90s when Jordan broke their hearts.

You've got to figure, though, that ex-Cavs such as Larry Nance, Mark Price and Brad Daugherty would love to suit up just one last time against their longtime nemesis. As for Ron Harper, he eventually was fortunate enough to join Jordan in Chicago, and got three championship rings out of it.
