Andre Miller returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a fury last night behind season highs in assists (22) and steals (nine), and he topped it off with 14 points.

Miller injured his shoulder on Tuesday in Houston, and he missed his first game of his career on Thursday. He returned with a bang last night, however. His outing was only a footnote to the disappointing finish that resulted in a 94-91 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers before a crowd of 20,231 at Gund Arena.

The easy going Cavs coach John Lucas isn't as easy following a loss. Last night was even worse. He banged on the door of his office in disgust prior to the postgame interview.

"I'm a little aggravated right now," Lucas said. "We were right there to steal it. We haven't beaten this team at home in 11 games and they really believe they can win here. They believe they can play in this building and we have to find an answer."

The Sixers (9-14) finally found an answer by snapping their seven-game losing streak.

Here's how it happened: Zydrunas Ilgauskas missed two free throws, and Sixers guard Allen Iverson, who scored 40 points, nailed a shot with 35 seconds left to give the Sixers a six-point lead. Lamond Murray was fouled by Derrick Coleman on a 3-point shot attempt. Murray, an 86.4 percent free-throw shooter, missed all three free throws.
