This time it was all peaches and cream.

Yesterday, the USA Basketball Men's Senior National Team had its first practice in preparation for the FIBA Americas Olympic Qualifying Tournament later this month in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

It was the first time Sixers star Allen Iverson and U.S. head coach Larry Brown have met since Brown left the Sixers.

There were no fireworks, no uneasy moments. If anything, Iverson was the most relaxed player at the 2-hour session.

"This wasn't a Team USA practice," Iverson said. "This was a Larry Brown Sixers practice. He was coaching the same way he always coached. I knew all of the things he was asking us to do."

Iverson quickly dispelled any notions that he was angry with his former coach for taking the coaching job with the Detroit Pistons. He said the only thing he wanted was for Brown to do what he thought was best for himself and his family.

And if that meant leaving the Sixers for the Pistons, so be it.
