The San Antonio Spurs forced a Game Seven back in New Orleans with a dominant win, 99-80, over the Hornets at home on Thursday night.

Once again the third quarter determined the game as the Spurs stretched a seven-point halftime lead into a fifteen-point edge heading into the final twelve minutes.

Tim Duncan excelled with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and Manu Ginobili tallied 25 points for the Spurs, who shot 49% on the night and outrebounded New Orleans by five.

Ime Udoka provided a nice spark off the bench for San Antonio, who got 13 points from the guard in just twenty-one minutes of play.

Tony Parker, who didn't out-duel buddy Chris Paul, did all the Spurs needed him to do in order to hold serve on their home floor. He posted 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the win.

Paul led New Orleans with 21 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds, while David West was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after aggravating his sore lower back.

West had just 10 points on 4-for-14 shooting and 6 rebounds.

Tyson Chandler, who bruised his left foot on Tuesday night, had 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in forty minutes of play.

Paul was called for a number of offensive fouls as he tried to be aggressive on the road, but the determination resulted in three turnovers and five fouls.

The Spurs won the bench battle, outscoring the New Orleans reserves 29-19 at the AT&T Center.

The Hornets made just 41% of their shots, and where a dismal 2-for-9 from behind the three-point line. They also attempted five fewer foul shots than the home team.

San Antonio was hot from downtown, going 11-for-21 from three-point land. Ginobili went 6-for-9 and Udoka was 3-for-3 as the Spurs rode their hot-shooting in the second half.

Game Seven will be Monday night in New Orleans as the Spurs look to advance to the Western Conference Finals and further defend their championship.
