Stan Van Gundy ribbed Shaquille O'Neal for flopping in a game on Tuesday night, so O'Neal attacked Van Gundy's coaching abilities.

On Thursday, Van Gundy laughed off the back-and-forth.

"He's dealt with this like he's dealt with everything else," Van Gundy told the Sentinel. "I think it's funny."

Van Gundy said he was "joking" when he expressed disappointment in O'Neal's decision to flop against the Magic.

"Flopping would describe his coaching," O'Neal said in response, also saying that Van Gundy's players hate him.

"Whatever. I don't know ... that's his estimation of my coaching. I'm not going to worry about it too much," Van Gundy said. "Actually, that [Shaq's criticism] puts me in good company, very good company.

"He's taken shots at Phil Jackson and Pat Riley, so maybe I should consider it an honor."
