Magic guard Courtney Lee joined his teammates in Boston on Tuesday, but won't play in Game 2 against the Celtics.

"I'm going to take it slow," Lee told the Orlando Sentinel.

Lee is recovering from surgery performed last Thursday to repair fractures in his frontal sinus cavity.

He is adjusting to a protective mask, and there have been reports that he could suit up for Friday's Game 3 in Orlando.

"Courtney hasn't done anything in a week. He hasn't even put that mask on and tried to run around and shoot with it. I'd be pretty surprised if he was ready to go," coach Stan Van Gundy said of Wednesday's contest.
