Celtics general manager Danny Ainge is waiting for the remainder of the free agent market to play out in hopes that a veteran will value signing with a winner rather than cashing in on a big payday.

Boston clearly needs help on the wing and they appear to have lost out on Matt Barnes, who announced on Monday night that he was headed to Toronto. There have been reports that Barnes may have to agree to something less than the two-year, $10 million pact that has been reported.

The Celtics are trying to move the $6 million contract of the retiring Rasheed Wallace, but they'll likely have to wait for a few more players to sign in order to do so.
