The Raptors have holes on the wing and at point guard, but may opt to draft the best available player, regardless of position.

“If there’s a really good player up top that is not a perfect need for us, we would take that player, especially if we felt like he had all-star potential,” Raptors vice-president of basketball operations Ed Stefanski said.

Toronto, which owns the eighth pick, took a look at point guards Damien Lillard and Kendall Marshall on Tuesday.

“I’d have to say [power forward], where we’re the strongest, has the most depth,” Stefanski said when asked to assess the draft talent pool.
