Now that Ben Simmons has had surgery on his troublesome back, he and the Brooklyn Nets are ready to get to work on getting him back on the court. In the coming weeks, Simmons and his representatives will meet with the Nets to map out their summer plans.

The Nets want Simmons in Brooklyn as much as possible this offseason. Both sides plan to work together to build a program to get Simmons back to a good place both physically and mentally.

Brooklyn general manager Sean Marks pledged that his team will work with Simmons on whatever he needs. Marks said both sides see this as a "new lease on life" when it comes to both Simmons' back and his mental health.
