Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had a procedure on his injured left meniscus on Tuesday. He'll be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Recovery will dictate when Embiid can return to the court. The Sixers haven't ruled out a possibility that the reigning MVP returns before the end of this season.

It's unknown what type of surgery Embiid had at this point. The four-week timeline seems to lean more toward the trim of the meniscus, which generally has a shorter recovery period than the full repair.
