The Nets and Rockets held deep trade talks on Saturday centered around Luis Scola, according to sources.

But talks fell apart before a deal could be reached.

Houston has been working to trade Scola this offseason and selected several forwards in this week's draft.

The Rockets are actively exploring trades of Luis Scola, according to sources.

Houston stockpiled big forwards, Royce White and Terrence Jones, in the draft as part of a plan to shop Scola.

Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin have also been made available.

Scola was included in last December's proposed trade that would have netted Pau Gasol.

The Los Angeles Clippers acquired Lamar Odom from the Dallas Mavericks as part of a four-team trade also involving the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets. 

The Clippers sent point guard Mo Williams to the Jazz and the draft rights to Furkan Aldemir, the Clippers’ second round selection (53rd overall) in the 2012 NBA Draft to Houston while the Jazz conveyed the draft rights of Tadija Dragicevic, Utah’s second round pick (53rd overall) in the 2008 NBA Draft to Dallas. 

To complete the trade, Dallas sent the draft rights of Shan Foster, the Mavericks’ second round selection (51st overall) in the 2008 NBA Draft to the Jazz with Houston sending cash considerations to Dallas.  

The Rockets have extended the $4.3 million qualifying offer to Courtney Lee.

Lee will become a restricted free agent.

The Bobcats are in discussions with the Cavaliers and Rockets about a deal involving the second overall selection.

Charlotte began Thursday in talks with five separate teams.

The Kings and Rockets have intensified their trade discussions centered around the No. 5 pick, according to sources.

Sacramento wants to wait to see if Thomas Robinson is on the board before a deal is consummated.

Houston is offering Kyle Lowry and multiple picks as they own the 12th, 16th and 18th selections.

The Rockets want to trade Andre Drummond, though it is unclear if they would be selecting him for themselves or in pursuit of Dwight Howard.

The Magic front office is unmoved by Houston's attempt to put together a package of draft picks in an effort to trade for Dwight Howard, according to sources.

Orlando is unlikely to deal Howard on draft night, or in the immediate future.

New general manager Rob Hennigan was hired last week by the Magic.

Sources have said that Howard would be unlikely to sign a new deal with the Rockets regardless of the circumstances.

The Kings continue to discuss a deal with the Rockets involving the fifth overall pick, according to sources.

Sacramento doesn't have a strong sentiment towards any player at this slot and sources believes Geoff Petrie is leaning toward selecting Andre Drummond over Harrison Barnes if the pick is retained.

Houston's latest offer of Kyle Lowry and the No. 16 pick was rejected by the Kings.

Yahoo's Marc J. Spears reports the Kings won't trade away the fifth pick until they are on the clock. According to Spears, Sacramento would like to see Robinson fall to them.

The Warriors will try to engage the Rockets in trade talks with the No. 7 pick if Andre Drummond remain on the board.

According to Marcus Thompson, Golden State would prefer to have the No. 12 and No. 14 picks, for example, than Drummond.

Perry Jones was in Houston on Wednesday for a second visit with the Rockets, according to sources.

Jones could be in play for the Rockets with the 12th, 16th and 18th picks.

A source says the Magic like Jones and he could eventually be included in a proposal for Dwight Howard.
