Iman Shumpert suffered a sprained shoulder in the New York Knicks' win on Tuesday against the Boston Celtics.
The injury is not considered serious, but Shumpert is expected to miss a few games.
Carmelo Anthony's wife, La La Anthony, expects her husband to re-sign with the New York Knicks.
"I definitely think he will stay," La La Anthony said in an interview with Bravo TV's "Watch What Happens Live." "I know that he wants to stay, and I support him wherever he wants to go.
"Listen, I used to live in Denver with him. If I can live in Denver, I can live anywhere. I just want him to be happy."
Anthony is expected to opt out of his contract to become a free agent this summer.
The Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers are the most probable teams to sign Anthony should he decide to leave the Knicks.
Kobe Bryant said he spoke to Carmelo Anthony and congratulated the New York Knicks' star about his 62-point game on Friday.
Bryant was careful not to tamper but also stated he would be willing to give Anthony free agency advice if the forward asks.
"Everybody wants to play in Los Angeles … palm trees and beaches are a little bit more appealing," Bryant said Sunday.
"If he wants to call me for advice later as a friend, I'd be more than happy to give it to him."
Carmelo Anthony scored 62 points in the New York Knicks' 125-96 win on Friday over the Charlotte Bobcats.
Anthony's 62 points surpassed Kobe Bryant's 61 for the most ever in a game at Madison Square Garden. Anthony also broke Bernard King's Knicks' record of 60 points.
“It really didn’t sink in yet,” Anthony said. “What happened tonight, it still feels surreal for me.”
Anthony was 23-for-35 from the field, 6-for-11 on 3-pointers and 10-for-10 at the foul line.
Anthony was removed from the game after he reached 62 points with 7:18 remaining in the game.
With the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers experiencing difficult seasons, Carmelo Anthony's free agency options apparently now include the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls traded Luol Deng for draft picks and are leaning toward using its amnesty provision on Carlos Boozer. The Bulls could sign Anthony to a max contract to have him join a core of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler.
"Chicago is much more in play for him than L.A.," the source said.
The Knicks are cap-strapped until 2015, but the Bulls have "shown themselves to be a big market franchise with small-market sensibilities," writes Wojnarowski.

The injury occurred in Wednesday night's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Bargnani will sit out indefinitely for the New York Knicks.
The 2014 NBA All-Star starters were announced Thursday night on TNT.
Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and Kevin Love are the starters for the Western Conference.
The Eastern Conference will be represented by Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.
The starters selected by the fans, who vote for two backcourt and three frontcourt players.
Durant, Curry, James and George all received more than one million votes.
The New York Knicks aggressively court the presence of their celebrity fans by reserving six prime courtside seats for three V.I.P.'s and their guests called Celebrity Row, along with other excellent seats.
“If you’re an A-level person and we know the fans are going to go bananas when your picture goes up on the scoreboard, then there’s a value having you there,” said Barry Watkins, the Madison Square Garden company’s executive vice president for communications and administration. “We think it’s a big part of the brand. Win or lose, it’s one of the reasons people come to the games.”
The Garden has an ad-hoc celebrity-handling team that determines who counts as a celebrity and how to pursue relationships with those people or their representatives.
The quid pro quo is to be agreed to be filmed at your seat for broadcast on GardenVision, while some agree to work for the Knicks' Garden of Dreams foundation, which helps disadvantaged and ill young people.
Beno Udrih has requested a trade from the New York Knicks.
Udrih has been at odds with Mike Woodson for much of the season.
The Knicks will attempt to honor Udrih's request.
Udrih publicly questioned why he was the subject of criticism earlier this season.
"I kind of feel like when I do the right thing, it's not the right thing in some people's eyes. It's just tough. It's easy to point fingers when the team loses. But it comes down to, we are a team, we lose together. No matter who makes a mistake or who doesn't, it's still a team loss," Udrih said on Dec. 25. "So I think all of this stuff should be kept out of the media and not call certain people out or something. We've just got to go out there and fix it and watch video and fix it as a team."
