Josh Jackson and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed for him to start the season not with the team and instead prepare with the Memphis Hustle of the G League.

Jackson was acquired from the Phoenix Suns this offseason after a number of issues off-the-court.

Jackson was the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Kansas.

De'Anthony Melton will miss 4-8 weeks with a stress fracture in his back.

Melton averaged 5 points and 3.2 assists in 50 games for the Suns last season before getting traded to the Grizzlies as part of a Josh Jackson package. 

The team also announced that Ja Morant has made a full recovery from a knee procedure and will participate in training camp. 

Andre Iguodala and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed for him not to report to camp.

Iguodala will remain on the Grizzlies' roster as they pursue trade scenarios.

Iguodala will work out privately at a location of his choosing.

Players who signed free agent contracts are not eligible to be traded until December 15th, which is the unofficial opening of the trade season. The trade deadline this season is February 6th.

The Memphis Grizzlies have refused to engage Andre Iguodala on a buyout and want him to report to the start of training camp.

Iguodala wants to play for a contending team in what may be his final NBA season.

The Grizzlies have attempted to trade Iguodala since acquiring him from the Golden State Warriors.

Iguodala is vice president of the NBPA.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Matt Mooney to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Mooney (6-3, 200) was named to the 2019 NCAA All-Tournament Team after helping lead Texas Tech University to the school’s first-ever NCAA Final Four and guiding the team to the championship game. He started all 38 games as a senior for the Red Raiders and averaged 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.84 steals in 31.0 minutes while shooting 38.6 percent from three-point range. Mooney was selected to the All-Big 12 Second Team, Big 12 All-Defensive Team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team.
