The Memphis Grizzlies recouped $2.6 million of Dwight Howard's $5.6 million guaranteed salary in their buyout agreement.

Howard can earn $2.6 million on his veteran's minimum deal if he remains on the Los Angeles Lakers' roster past early January. Howard will be on a non-guaranteed contract with the Lakers.

The Grizzlies never intended to bring Howard to camp.

Dwight Howard has agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers on a non-guaranteed one-year, $2.6 million deal.

Howard will sign with the Lakers once he clears waivers after being bought out by the Memphis Grizzlies.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Howard had several meetings with the Lakers.

The Lakers also considered Joakim Noah and Mo Speights.

Dwight Howard and the Los Angeles Lakers have mutual interest.

The Lakers are expected to request permission from the Memphis Grizzlies to speak to Howard.

The Grizzlies are likely to eventually waive Howard.

The Lakers are thin at center following the ACL injury suffered by DeMarcus Cousins.

The Memphis Grizzlies unveiled Taylor Jenkins' coaching staff, including Brad Jones, David McClure, James "Scoonie" Penn, Vitaly Potapenko and Neven Spahija.

Ivey, a former Notre Dame women's head coach, becomes the 9th woman hired on an NBA coaching staff.

The team also named Jason March as the head coach of their G-League team.

The Memphis Grizzlies unveiled two throwback jerseys tracing their Vancouver roots to celebrate their 25th season as a franchise.

The team will also wear a "Memphis Classic" uniform during the 2020-21 season to commemorate their first year in Tennessee.

The Grizzlies will also play on a redesigned court for the next two seasons to help connect the team's origin in Vancouver with their early days in Memphis.
