Markelle Futlz will not participate in Summer League this year.

Fultz is working on finding his shot again with skills trainer Drew Hanlen. The 76ers are letting Fultz continue his work with Hanlen rather than play in five-on-five situations.

The 76ers are encouraged by the progress they've seen from Fultz and remain confident he'll be a major part of their future.

Brett Brown has been out to Los Angeles several times to check in on Fultz.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have received a commitment from Billy Preston for their Summer League team.

Preston was a five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American who left Kansas after an on-campus car accident.

Preston ended up playing in Bosnia but only played in three games.

NBA scouts had a hard time gathering information on Preston because he had barely played in the past year. He also declined to take part in 5-on-5 games during the league's draft combine.

The Portland Trail Blazers plan to add John Jenkins to their Summer League team.

Jenkins was a first round pick in 2012 by the Hawks.

Jenkins played in Spain last season.

Chris Haynes reports that there's a good chance Jenkins will be on an NBA roster next season.

Luka Doncic is unlikely to play in Summer League for the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks are concerned about the workload for Doncic as he just finished up his season with Real Madrid.

Doncic also played for Slovenia in last summer's EuroBasket.

The Los Angeles Lakers have formally informed LiAngelo Ball that he won't be on their Summer League team.

The Lakers were determined to make the decision on LiAngelo Ball strictly a basketball one.

“Obviously there’s more to it than basketball,” said a source.

LaVar Ball has publicly pushed for the Lakers to have all three of his sons on their team.

The Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
