Tuesday night is the season opener, when the Celtics visit Gund Arena. Maybe then the Celtics and Cavaliers will show some more variety and play their regular lineups. During Boston's 96-88 victory last night, both teams displayed only a fraction of their offensive and defensive game plan.

The Celtics, who never trailed, avenged their 110-95 loss to the Cavaliers on Oct. 17. Cleveland finishes the preseason with a 1-5 record and will practice lightly before hosting the Celtics on Tuesday night.
