No disrespect intended, but the Jazz would just as soon forget the Alamodome.

Although they came much closer to the Spurs than they have in other recent visits to San Antonio, they still ended up losing in their final regular-season appearance in the building Thursday night.

Tim Duncan scored 35 points and hit the clinching free throws with 15.2 seconds remaining as the Spurs, who will move into the state-of-the-art SBC Center next year, posted a 102-98 victory.

It was the Jazz's seventh straight loss in the Alamodome, where they are 9-15 (counting playoff games) in the arena's nine-season history as home of the Spurs.

Karl Malone led Utah with 30 points and 14 rebounds, and rookie Andrei Kirilenko added 24 points, eight rebounds and six steals. But the Jazz could not overcome the play of Duncan or San Antonio guards Charles Smith (19) and Antonio Daniels (18), who combined for 37 points on 14-for-27 shooting.
