The Bobcats are continuing to shop veteran guard Raja Bell, according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski.

"The Bobcats Raja Bell continues to be shopped around the league, GM's say. No doubt he'd love to get back to a contender," Wojnarowski wrote on his Twitter page.

Bell averaged 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in 45 appearances with Charlotte last season after being dealt by Phoenix.

Felton Takes Charlotte's Qualifying Offer

Sep 22, 2009 5:37 PM

Raymond Felton will sign the one-year, $5.5 million qualifying offer from the Charlotte Bobcats, according to multiple sources.

The Bobcats had been discussing a long-term deal with Felton, but neither side was eager to budge from their respective positions.

?Raymond is just ready to put the focus back on basketball,? Felton?s agent, Kevin Bradbury, said. ?He doesn?t want any of this to affect the team at the start of training camp. So, we?ll look forward to him having a great season, the Bobcats having a great season and we will talk more with the organization when it is appropriate.?

Bobcats forward Boris Diaw sprained an ankle while playing for the French national team this weekend.

Diaw plans to have an MRI as a precaution, but coach Larry Brown told the Charlotte Observer that the sprain isn't believed to be severe.

The Bobcats will open training camp a week from Tuesday and Brown added that he already planned to limit Diaw's minutes in the preseason because of all the basketball he played over the summer.

Felton Could Take $7M Per Season

Sep 7, 2009 4:55 PM

Raymond Felton remains a restricted free agent with a long term deal not looking like it will be completed.

"It hasn't happened yet, but it?s going to happen ? that's all I can say," Felton said. "I think we're going to work something out."

A source familiar with the situation projected that a deal in the range of $7 million a season would close the gap. If Felton doesn't sign a long-term deal, he'd likely play next season on a one-year qualifying offer of $5.5 million, then become an unrestricted free agent.

May: It's Ridiculous That Felton Doesn't Have A Deal

Sep 5, 2009 8:21 PM

Sean May can't believe that the Bobcats haven't given former teammate Raymond Felton a new contract yet.

"I don't know what the numbers are ? why they're so far apart ? but personally I think it's kind of ridiculous that going a month into training camp he doesn't have a deal done," May told the Charlotte Observer.

In addition to playing together with the Bobcats, Felton and May won a national title with North Carolina.

"You go down the list: He plays every day. He practices every day and a lot of NBA stars take days off. He doesn't get hurt, he's the best teammate," May added.

"The guy gets it done, and the team has gotten progressively better. You have to reward him for that."

Felton isn't nearly as outspoken about the ordeal.

"It hasn't happened yet, but it's going to happen ? that's all I can say," Felton said. "I think we're going to work something out."

If the point guard doesn't sign a long-term deal, he'll likely play next season on a one-year qualifying offer of $5.5 million, then become an unrestricted free agent in 2010.
