Boozer Thinks He's Going To Detroit Or New Jersey

Carlos Boozer is telling confidants he's either going to Detroit or New Jersey, according to a report from Peter Vecsey of the New York Post.

While the Pistons have cap space, the Nets would need to acquire Boozer via a sign and trade deal.

Raptors Privately Considering Trading Bosh

The Raptors are privately acknowledging for the first time that they might need to trade Chris Bosh, rather than risk losing him to free agency in 2010, according to a report from the New York Daily News.

The Bulls remain interested in Bosh, but Luol Deng would have to be part of a package going to the Raptors.

Bosh could also end up in Detroit in a package that would net the Raptors Carlos Boozer, according to the report.

Eric Maynor has workouts and interviews scheduled with the Warriors, Raptors and Wolves, but he also will add Detroit to the list.

?I saw (Pistons coach) Mike Curry (Wednesday) and he asked was I coming up there,? said Maynor. ?I know I?m going up there, but I don?t know the exact date, though.?

Walter Herrmann may return to Spain, according to a French-language Web site. The report said that the club Pamesa Valencia is rebuilding after losing three key players and that club president Manuel Llorente wants to bring Herrmann back.

Hamilton Sues Former Business Manager

Richard Hamilton is accusing his former business manager of stealing approximately $1 million from him, according to a federal lawsuit filed in Pennsylvania.

The lawsuit was filed May 18 against Josh Nochimson, who is also at the center of recruiting allegations at Connecticut, Hamilton's alma mater.

Kwame Not Eager To Walk Away From $4.1M

Kwame Brown's agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Thursday that his client will take his time to decide whether to exercise his $4.1-million player option or hit the open market when free agency begins July 1.

"We'll do it sometime in the next month and a half," Bartelstein said. "When the season's over I think it's good to get away for a while and clear your head before making a decision.

"The season was kind of a roller coaster for him, but we'll make a decision in the coming weeks."

Bing Sworn In As Mayor Of Detroit

Former NBA star Dave Bing has been sworn in as the mayor of Detroit, becoming the third person to hold the job in just eight months.

He beat incumbent Ken Cockrel Jr. in a special runoff election last week.

Bing, 65, has said he'll run for a full, four-year term that begins in 2010.

Legendary Pistons coach Chuck Daly, who led the team to back-to-back titles, died on Saturday morning.

Daly, who was 78, had the most wins in Detroit franchise history. He was diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer earlier this year.
