Thunder Add Pack, Terpstra To Coaching Staff

The Oklahoma City Thunder have named Robert Pack and Mike Terpstra as assistant coaches.

They join Rex Kalamian, Mark Bryant and Brian Keefe on Scott Brooks’ bench.

“We’re excited to add Robert and Mike to our coaching staff for the upcoming season,” Brooks said in a statement. “These additions bring diverse backgrounds to our group that will help the further development of our players.”

The Thunder lost Maurice Cheeks to the Detroit Pistons this offseason.

Lakers Officially Hire Rambis, Davis As Assistants

The Los Angeles Lakers announced on Monday that they have hired Kurt Rambis and Johnny Davis as assistant coaches.

Both hires have been expected.

"Kurt and Johnny bring many years of NBA experience both as coaches and as former players to this team,” Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said in a statement. “Kurt is a great basketball mind, extremely good at working with big men and his experience as a head coach in this league is going to prove very helpful to our staff.

"Johnny is a two-time NBA head coach with years of experience playing as well as coaching in this league. The vast array of NBA knowledge he brings to the table will be invaluable to us.”

Pistons Release Kim English

The Detroit Pistons have released Kim English, a second-year guard out of Missouri.

English averaged 2.9 points during his only season with the Pistons.

English was taken by the Pistons with the 44th pick of the 2012 draft.

Bulls Officially Release Richard Hamilton

The Chicago Bulls announced they have waived guard Richard Hamilton.

In two seasons with the Bulls, Hamilton appeared in 78 games (73 starts) and averaged 10.5 ppg, 2.6 apg and 1.9 rpg in 22.9 mpg.

"I wish we could of been a healthier team during my time as a bull, because i think we could of done something very special," Hamilton wrote on his verified Twitter account.

Hamilton has stated he wants to continue his NBA career.

Warriors Exercise Option On Mark Jackson's Contract Next Season

The Golden State Warriors have picked up the team option on Head Coach Mark Jackson's contract for the 2014-15 season, the team announced on Wednesday.

Jackson guided the Warriors to a 47-35 regular-season record last season, finishing second in the Pacific Division and earning the sixth seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

The Warriors then defeated the Denver Nuggets in the first round and lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the conference semifinals.

Jackson could engage in extension talks with the Warriors.

Agent: Dwight Hasn't 'Finalized' Decision

Dwight Howard's agent, Dan Fegan, says that his client hasn't yet finalized a decision on his NBA future.

"Dwight has not finalized his decision," Fegan told Yahoo! Sports just minutes after USA Today reported that Howard had decided to sign with the Houston Rockets.

Multiple sources confirmed USA Today's report that Howard has picked the Rockets, but urged that nothing is final.

"He hopes to finalize his decision tonight or tomorrow morning," Fegan added.

Bobcats Will Amnesty Tyrus Thomas

The Charlotte Bobcats will use the amnesty provision on Tyrus Thomas.

The Bobcats decided to amnesty Thomas to create salary space for Al Jefferson.

Thomas had two seasons left on his contract at upward of $8 million per year.

Thomas was traded to the Bobcats in February of 2010.
